A dangerous early-season heat wave will impact the central and eastern U.S. between June 20-24, bringing the hottest temperatures of the season so far. A Climate Central analysis finds that human-caused climate change made this extreme heat at least three times more likely for around 174 million people — nearly half of the U.S. population.
