Berlin, Germany (SPX) Sep 07, 2025 Researchers from the University of Jyvaskyla and the Natural Resources Institute Finland have demonstrated that adding ash to anaerobic digestion enhances methane production and strengthens the fertilizing properties of the resulting digestate. The study, recently published in Biomass and Bioenergy, highlights ash as a promising additive for both energy generation and sustainable agriculture.
