The fastest and most comfortable way to travel by public transport from Luang Prabang to Nong Khai is to travel by train. The first stage of the journey from Luang Prabang to Vientiane is by high speed train. The second stage of the journey is on a slower Thai train, however, the journey from Vientiane to Nong Khai is very short.
