Received a verbal offer for a new job with the expectation that the written offer will arrive early next week (I live in the US and specifically in MA). The challenge I am facing is that I have a 2 week vacation scheduled to start on the following Thursday, which would at best give me a week to 1.5 weeks worth of notice to give to my current employer. Would it be a concern to take a less than 2 week notice period (as my new job 'prefers' that I would start before EOM)?
