On November 24, 1971, a passenger calling himself Dan Cooper hijacked Northwest Airlines flight 305, demanded and received $200,000 in cash and four parachutes in Seattle, and then jumped from the Boeing 727 somewhere over the Pacific Northwest, never to be seen again.
