Lev Akabas is a Data Reporter at Sportico. He covers topics that involve data, creating charts and interactive graphics to tell stories visually. Prior to joining Sportico in May of 2020, Akabas worked on both the editorial side and the technology side of a newsroom at SLAM magazine and The New York Times, respectively. Akabas graduated from Cornell University in 2019 with a degree in Computer Science. He lives in New York City, where he enjoys playing pickup basketball.
