Thousands of Maryland residents will go without food aid next month after the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced it will not continue to fund Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits during the shutdown. Twenty-five states, including Maryland, are suing the Trump administration over the suspension.
