Martin is the Montana State University Extension Forestry BioEnergy Associate Specialist, housed cooperatively at the University of Montana in the College of Forestry and Conservation. He is a co-leader of the Wood Energy Community of Practice and a member of the Montana Statewide Wood Energy Team, which is tasked with advancing the development of wood energy projects in the state.
