The New York Times took a bold step in the fight against artificial intelligence, filing a federal lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft. The lawsuit accuses OpenAI of copyright violations by using the newspaper's stories to train their chatbots and allegedly stealing billions of dollars’ worth of work written by NY Times journalists.
