I am so behind on my blog. Isn't that what every blogger says? I have had about 5 million blog post ideas in the last month and the only thing I have done is tweet about stuff on Twitter. | This Makes Me Laugh
In two and a half years of traveling for my work I have never ended up in Spokane. J always said it was a pretty awesome overnight, and especially so in spring when the river is high. What are the odds, then, that we ended up on a Spokane overnight together...in spring?!| This Makes Me Laugh
Hello! This recipe is straight out of Bon Appetit. I thought it was wonderful and fresh. We are ready for summer. | This Makes Me Laugh
J and I finally took a trip that we had been talking about for a while. Instead of heading to Scottsdale for Spring Training this year we decided to book a shorter, less expensive Colorado stay-cation: we headed to Glenwood Springs on the Amtrak to enjoy vapor caves, hot springs, a historic hotel, great beer, and a great meal.| This Makes Me Laugh
Happy March, I know! But I am just now working on all the pictures I took in February. I am sure I took hundreds, but I narrowed them down to about 60, and I will only have published maybe 20 in these last two posts, so I think I'm doing okay! | This Makes Me Laugh
In February I was on reserve, which means that J ended up with some decent trips with his seniority. One trip in particular was purposely bid. The overnights were DCA (Reagan National) and SAN (San Diego). | This Makes Me Laugh
As was the recipe posted just before this post, this recipe is from a Family Circle magazine. I ripped the page out and | This Makes Me Laugh
This recipe is from a Family Circle magazine, I ripped the page out and it doesn't say what month/year anywhere on it and when I tried to look it up on Family Circle's website I was asked to join it to view the information. So...I will give them as much credit as I can. I do not know the issue date of the magazine.| This Makes Me Laugh

Happy February! The last little bit of January J and I spent enjoying friends, the great, outdoors, and good hooch. Doesn't get much better than that! | This Makes Me Laugh
I had recently been to Tucson on a long overnight with a pretty awesome crew. While we were there we talked about how great it would be to rent a car and drive a few miles east to the east side of Saguaro National Park to do a hike.| This Makes Me Laugh
Okay so maybe not the last, last days of summer, but still.| This Makes Me Laugh

Part 2! Once again, click to enlarge. :)| This Makes Me Laugh
In September (I know, I know) J and I drove to Yellowstone National Park for three nights of camping and two full days of exploring (though we were able to fit in a lot of exploring on day 1 and saw some gorgeous ice-covered landscape on day 4 as we left early in the morning). I decided to do this mostly as a photo essay, as I think I was able to document all the big moments, activities we accomplished, and sights we saw, with a pictures. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND enlarging for detail. Part two will...| This Makes Me Laugh
To continue our trip J and I decided to enjoy an evening in Portland, ME before heading to Baltimore and saying "hi" to our old stomping ground Oct-Nov of 2011. We loved spending the evening in a new city, and also had a fabulous time exploring our "old" one. In Portland we walked all over, took the tasting tour at Shipyard Brewing Company, and had dinner out on the town. In Baltimore, we took the train from BWI to the Inner Harbor and then walked all the way over to Canton where we lived for...| This Makes Me Laugh
Yes, this blog post is a little late, but I haven't had much time recently to go through all the photos, upload them, and write. Now, here I am!| This Makes Me Laugh

We finally had more than two days off (we have been working a ton, including a nine day streak so that we have seven days off for our anniversary at the end of this month) and J and I were ready to go do something epic. Like possible bear fights, torrential rain and wind, and exploding space dust epic. J wanted to go camping, I wanted to watch the two meteor showers that were going on (Delta Aquarids and Perseids). We were able to combine both into a truly epic camping trip.| This Makes Me Laugh
Love you so much, Hunter...we will miss you. ♥| This Makes Me Laugh
I've been wanting to start a succulent garden for a while. First, I think they would do well here in Colorado. Second, they'd even be in a small enough decorative container that I could bring them indoors during the winter and they could actually, you know, last through the season.| This Makes Me Laugh
Date night! J and I dressed up all fancy for the opening of the Bernard Ballroom in the space above the Arvada Tavern. The Love Royale was the band playing and they were fun and funky. As always, we had a blast. :) | This Makes Me Laugh
J and I have had an exciting four days off which are not quite over yet! First, my mom was in town, then we took Tuesday to view the Denver Botanic Gardens on a free day, and yesterday we took our friend Justin up to Fort Collins for the New Belgium Brewery tour before he leaves Denver for China later this month.| This Makes Me Laugh
J has been having a good ol' time utilizing his new grill he bought so that we could cook our food camping in the midst of a fire ban. Last night we made grilled salmon with Black Bean Mango Salsa (a rehash of this recipe) and grilled asparagus, simply done with olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper.| This Makes Me Laugh
