A request from Dr. Miriti Gervasio of Turkana University College, Lodwar, Kenya has resulted in a grant for nearly $5000 for the distribution of locally published graded readers to primary schools focussing on the Arid and Semiarid regions of Kenya where the literacy rate is low — 82%.
