Every winter, The LEGO Group produces a number of holiday-themed sets including the most recent addition to the Winter Village series (such as this year’s #10361 Holiday Express Train), as well as a few less expensive sets clearly aimed at the Christmas holiday tradition. This set features the big man himself, a 6:1 scale representation of the classic Santa Minifigure. This means that it is 6-times as wide, deep, and tall… 6³ = 216 times as much volume as the original figure!| BRICK ARCHITECT
This month’s update is a bit short because I’ve been extremely busy with BrickCon at the beginning of the month, and making progress on my LEGO Parts Guide. This includes both improvements to the online guide (such as adding 40 parts) and completing drafts of two more chapters of the printed book.| brickarchitect.com

It’s important to relax, unwind, and explore – which is why I was traveling with my family for three weeks this month. I chose to unplug from both my work responsibilities and my work on this website and the LEGO Parts Guide. I did make an exception for one of the cutest LEGO sets this year, and built #10349 Happy Plants while watching the sunset at Glacier National Park. | BRICK ARCHITECT

I had a great conversation with PJ Catalano during my visit to LEGOLAND California with my family in October 2023. We took a quick tour of the Model Shop, spent most of our time exploring the new Miniland San Diego and closed with a discussion of the other LEGO models throughout the park. The experience gave me even more respect for the attention to detail that goes into creating and maintaining the many LEGO displays throughout the LEGOLAND Theme Parks!| BRICK ARCHITECT
With 2020’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons having sold over 45 million copies worldwide since its release in March 2020, it would be an understatement to say that this game has a cult following. Having played games in this franchise over the last two decades, I welcomed the introduction of this line of LEGO sets with open arms. Seeing that this sets were backordered the same day they were released, I wasn’t the only one excited for these sets!| BRICK ARCHITECT
