Red has returned for the holidays! He arrived to a kid free home on the day after Thanksgiving but was happy to see them return and has since been taking Santa requests and traveling around the house.| The Pike Fam
Here I emerge from the depths of my life with a second or two for my abandoned blog. I was browsing through here the past couple days and I dare say I may miss it a bit. Here's the thing, I've been taking the pictures the past 4 months but am so incredibly behind on editing and organizing them that it buried me. Here's an easy post though... my pretty girl's 3 year photo shoot with an amazing photographer Annie Torrini. We did a mini session at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in August. ...| The Pike Fam
My cousin was kind enough to email the photo booth pics we took last weekend at her wedding reception and I came up with an equation:| The Pike Fam

I took the kids strawberry picking for the first time this year. In fact, I think it may have been MY first time also! I came to realize very quickly what we've been missing out on all these years... | The Pike Fam

Oh how I love some no-bake baking around the holidays. Sweets that I can whip up without turning on my oven are at the top of my favorites list. I pinned these little nuggets of Christmas goodness from Bakers Royale last year and they caught my eye as a must make this year.| The Pike Fam

Here's an easy treat we did for movie night over the summer| The Pike Fam
Thanksgiving 2012 went down with our traditional turkey fare along with some new additions! RyGuy's Kindergarten class celebrated with a finger food feast on his last day of school. I made an army of fudge stripe cookie turkeys and they were a hit with the littles.| The Pike Fam

I am sooooo excited to share this wreath! It's about a year in the making (one of those projects I'd get annoyed with and put away for too long) and I finally finished about 2 a.m. the morning of MissB's birthday party. It's inspired by this wreath I pinned from Landee See, Landee Do and in case you haven't noticed... I'm in LOVE with it!| The Pike Fam

Back at the end of May I entered a giveaway over at Modern Parents Messy Kids and much to my surprise I was a bloggy giveaway winner! I won this amazing tub filled with Elmer's and Xacto products:| The Pike Fam
After reading a great post about hatching butterflies over at Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas I hopped straight over to the Insect Lore website and ordered our first butterfly garden. RyGuy is totally bug obsessed lately so I knew this would be perfect for him. Let me tell you, this was an awesome experience and totally worth every penny. Our caterpillars came within a few days and plumped up like crazy after about a week (sorry, apparently not photo worthy). Before we knew it we had 5 chrysalise...| The Pike Fam
