Hi and welcome π I finished the Mindful Stitching project that I mentioned in a mid-July post. At that time, I had completed the tree and its roots. The background is an eco-printed linen fabric from a while back. When I shared this project, it was pretty traditional - now it's more metaphysical.| Quilting & Learning - What a Combo!

Hi and welcome π It's been a good week! On Monday the Out Of The Box (OOTB) Fibre artists group had an outside meeting. It was such a treat to chat and visit with friends, outside in a park. We even had a gaggle of Canada geese wondering over. What a treat! I've also spent time outside in the backyard, ignoring the weeds and feeding and watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunk. They're an entertaining bunch! Their antics always make me smile.π| Quilting & Learning - What a Combo!

Hello and welcome π. Last week I was on a very nostalgic road trip with a friend. It was really great reminiscing about our childhood. It felt like we were saying goodbye after all this time. It's good to remember but it's also good to let go - and that's what I did.Β Β | Quilting & Learning - What a Combo!
Hi and welcome π The scrappy purple BB quilt for July's Table Scraps Challenge is done! This month's theme was English Country Garden or Bloom Time. It looks like I got both the colour and theme covered. β| Quilting & Learning - What a Combo!
Bonjour and welcome! Since I actually have some stitching updates, I thought that I would write this extra post. I don't want to overextend my welcome, so two posts per week, except around the holidays, is the most that you'll hear from me. I hope that you're enjoying the end of July - we'll soon be between the Summer and Fall equinox (Lammas Day). Summer is in full bloom but it's only a matter of time that the dog days of summer will be followed by cooler weather π.| Quilting & Learning - What a Combo!

Hi and welcome π Thanks for joining me today! I've noticed that for some reason, I now have many new followers. I'm glad that you're joining me on my stitching journey. Sometimes it's very busy here, but mostly I try to keep it slow and steady. This week, it's been mostly slow stitching as I estivate. π I'm hoping that the expected cool nights will perk up my sluggish energy.| Quilting & Learning - What a Combo!

Hi and welcome π. I've been sewing baby scraps into a cute baby quilt! Since my studio is still a mess and very, very hot, I've laid out the quilt on the dining room table. I found a 40" x 42" piece of yellow fabric that is perfect for the backing. That made designing the quilt easy since I just laid the blocks and fabric on the backing. It's all about keeping it simple π| Quilting & Learning - What a Combo!

Hello and welcome π I'm hot and miserable (no AC) but I'm not letting it get to me, at least in public π, so enough about that! This week, I played with scraps - my happy place! I also FMQ (free motion quilted) Poppy's little placemat for her water bowl. Everyone in the family now has a placemat. Yay!| Quilting & Learning - What a Combo!
