Since WWDC 2025, I have been busy working on updates for all our apps, including redesigns for new looks in iOS, macOS, iPadOS, and visionOS 2.6. I will go into detail here for OpenIn, and briefly mention new features in other apps, as they are easier to discover. P.S. I do post on Mastodon under @outcoldman about some new features that I implement. OpenIn 4.3 TestFlight Minimum requirement now is macOS 15.1. For the MAS version (TestFlight), a lot of features require OpenIn Helper 4.3, and t...| loshadki.app
This is a project that I have been working on for the last 2 years. And finally I am getting somewhere. With MacInspector I am trying to build a unique tool that can be used for several use cases: Explore a file system, and quickly find all the files and folders that are taking a lot of space (similar to DaisyDisk). You should be able to navigate through a file system, and see which folders are taking a lot of space. As a developer, quickly review extended attributes of files and folders (sim...| loshadki.app
Recently I had to rename maybe 20–30 files where I had to extract some fields from the file name, and then modify the numbers, like add 2000 to the number from the file, and change a few things in the file names. I gave a try to a few apps, but I was not happy how they were designed. A lot of buttons, a lot of options, a lot of configurations, felt like the time I would spend to learn how to use those apps will be similar to just write at the end a bash script.| loshadki.app
TL;DR: I built a macOS Mail.app extension that can use DeepSeek R1 model (or any other LLM) to filter emails and mark them as junk. It is a freemium application, that you can download here, currently offer 100% discount for the first 1000 users. In the last year or so, I have noticed a significant increase in the number of cold sales emails I receive. Officially, they are not spam, but they are annoying. My guess the significant number of those emails I receive is because of co-founding a few...| loshadki.app

Small but big update is here for OpenIn 4. It includes some bug fixes, and a few features I want to share with you! OpenIn 4.0.4 has been published already on App Store and SetApp. App Store still has a 50% off deal (as part of Cyber Monday) for OpenIn and other applications we provide. App Selection Icons Size Some users got used to the size of the icons and app selection menu in OpenIn 3, so they wanted to have back ability to see the apps in the same size. Now you can configure the size of...| loshadki.app
Hello! We are happy to start public beta for OpenIn v4. After I released ShellHistory Beta v2, I spent the last month on OpenIn. The main decision I made is to only build it for Ventura (the upcoming macOS update). OpenIn v3 will be in the store as well, and I will back-port some of the bug fixes (but no new features). I am planning to release OpenIn v4 for $11.99 and provide a bundle update, so if you own OpenIn v3, it is going to be only $1.99 to pay for the update. SetApp users will get ac...| loshadki.app
Apollo is a great alternative Reddit application for iOS. And the developers allow us to install it on macOS. Sometimes I find it way better to browse Reddit using Apollo on macOS than to use a browser. If you are like me and use email for most notifications and communications, you might have subscribed to have all Reddit notifications go to your email. I have decided to play with OpenIn and figure out how I can open Reddit links from emails right in the Apollo app.| loshadki.app
