Developer: Ocean SoftwarePublisher: Ocean SoftwareYear: 1988Genre: Arcade I don’t know why this became RoboCop video game week for me. I completed that Unfinished Business game and then I guess RetroAchivements got me to start playing old British games. I believe this is a loose adaptation of the RoboCop arcade game by Data East. It’s a […]| The Virtual Moose
Developer: ProbePublisher: Ocean SoftwareYear: 1992Genre: Platformer Well, after completing RoboCop: Rogue City ‒ Unfinished Business, I wanted to finally play this one since I’ve been a fan of the soundtrack of it for a long time. This post will be the farthest thing from a hot take because I’m here to confirm that like the […]| The Virtual Moose
Developer: TeyonPublishers: NaconGenre: FPSYear: 2025 Just wrapped up RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, a standalone DLC to 2023’s RoboCop: Rogue City. I had enjoyed that one quite a bit as a AA budget FPS/RPG even with its flaws, which I think were covered pretty well in outlets like Bullet Points. Since Unfinished Business is […]| The Virtual Moose
Because I have no life, I am thinking about two internet mysteries I do not have the answer to. Mystery 1: How is the CompUSA Corporate page still up? The company went under like 15 years ago and yeah, the name has been passed around a few times by companies trying to bring it back, […]| The Virtual Moose
Recently I came across this article about how reading for fun has dropped a ton in the US over the last 20 years. I don’t actually know if this is accurate or the way they studied this, but it did prompt me to post about some books I enjoyed reading on Bluesky so I may […]| The Virtual Moose

Once in a while I’ll see a post on social media lamenting that the Internet isn’t as good as it used to be and pine for certain things like forums, personal sites, IRC, etc but you can still do old internet stuff! There’s still plenty of active forums, and you probably already know this if […]| The Virtual Moose

Shoutout to the Ann Arbor District Library archives for no reason other than they’re just a lot of fun to search. I’ve posted before about The Cybertub, but it’s fun to just browse the tags and search to find old computer history. The World Wide Web tag is a lot of fun and I can search for local businesses like Borders Books and Music (who started in Ann Arbor) and find tons of old ads and stuff like that. If anyone has any libraries that have easily searchable archives like this, pleas...| The Virtual Moose

This week it would mean a lot to me if you could support the GoFundMe for Roberta Vaughan. She is going through a horrific medical crisis right now and any support, no matter the size, would help her family. She’s done so much for many other folks in the adventure game community and it’s time for all of us to do what we can to help.| The Virtual Moose

Yesterday was the last day of Bookstock, a local week-long used book sale that’s held at a nearby mall to raise additional money for Detroit schools. It was rainy and crummy outside so I went that and ended up picking up a lot of cds from the 90s and 00s from artists like Enya, Tori Amos, Zero 7, Midnight Oil, Mazzy Star, and Sarah McLachlan. On top of the cds already being cheap, everything was also half off so they could get rid of as much as possible. Of course I ripped all the cds to my...| The Virtual Moose
