In July my cousin had an accident that landed her in an ICU. Her parents and husband have coordinated family to be present for her 24/7. We are a large enough family that we can do this. I have been present for her for several sessions now. At the beginning, she did not recognize me....| ArtLung

Brad NiemannI’m really proud to get Brad Niemann . I’m the Friends of Shawn Kerri. I just wanted to take a moment to thank Dale Pleasence over there who put all this happen. I would imagine it’s a lot of work because I see why they appreciate it. We have a lot of people. I don’t want to take up much time, but I just wanted to give you a really quick introduction of what the Friends of Shawn Kerri is. If you’r...| ArtLung
“Hey make a mark with me.” This I request of the person across to me at the table. I am doodling in my sketchbook. Big blank pages. I’ve started drawing nothing in particular. It’s not a stranger across from me. Maybe I know them well. Maybe only a little. I’ve done this many times. I have a two dozen or so pens sprawled out next to the notebook.| artlung.com
I went to OB this morning and had fun. I can feel the summer winding down. I’ve not posted to IG lately in favor of other platforms, including my own website. And the world… well, it’s a difficult time for so many right now. There’s so much misery: much of it inflicted by terrible and often venal leadership. Be good to yourself, and be good to others. Participate in the government you’re a citizen of. You are the people. And the people have power.| artlung.com
This is a post in response to Eric Meyer‘s post Infinite Pixels which takes some trouble to play with calc and Infinity and what those actually work out to in the real world. Infinity is one of those math ideas that also has fanciful implications. And since I learned about it some months ago they’ve...| ArtLung
This past weekend I attended an HTML Day event and made some web pages. That was online. But around the world, people gathered in person to write HTML – from all skill levels. I think that’s beautiful. html.energy is magic. And I’ve added it to my “toys” page. Shoutout to Zachary Kai, who organized the...| ArtLung

The calendar on the wall is reminding me to remind you that if you like a (dailyish) #affirmation to support you and your spirit and mental health– I run automated, parallel Mastodon and Bluesky bots for that purpose. Feel free to follow and share, if you care to: https://thisbot.day/@affirmations https://bsky.app/profile/thisbot.day| ArtLung
I grew up in the 20th Century. Because of that, I suspect my first experience of the word “totem” was probably in a piece of fictional media (television, probably) where the word “totem pole” was used. That usage was likely not respectful to the Native Americans depicted in the fiction. see Reel Injun That doesn’t...| ArtLung
Back in 2016 I was using Twitter far more than I used this website, to my own detriment. Today while talking about politics, centrism, and Republicans with Thomas I thought of an old tweet of mine from 2016, which was a citation of a quote from Ronald Reagan: Civil Rights Concerning the President’s Views on...| ArtLung
Today I’ve been playing with a page with my web toys. It’s pushing me to consider what other toys I might build, too. Particularly ones which allow people to play and create. Here’s my new Toys page.| ArtLung

Last night I posted my 2020 piece for Burn All Books’ Riso anthology Sundays Quarterly 5 with the theme of “ALTERNATIVE FUTURES.” My comic predates the Marvel and DC cinematic multiverses by mere months. It’s 60 years later than the comics multiverses.| ArtLung
