The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) has established the “CCRTA Driver Training Lend and Learn Library.” The library is made possible through a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The National Transit Institute (NTI) is now offering a direct-delivery course focused on recognizing and reacting to terrorist activity. Transit agencies or regional groups can request NTI to come do this training with a minimum of twenty participants. The course highlights identifying and reporting terrorist activity, recognizing dangerous activity, and actions that should be taken when faced with potential terrorist activity. The Exhibitor Expo during the National RTAP/FTA/NTTA 1st Technical Assistance and Tribal Transit Program was held on the second day, Tuesday, March 20, of the two and one-half day conference. The event was held in the foyer of the Radisson Fort McDowell Conference Center. Transit professionals from rural and Tribal transit systems, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and state RTAP programs gathered in Scottsdale, Arizona March 18-21, 2012 to participate in the 1st Technical Assistance and Tribal Transit Program Conference and Roadeo.
