We are deeply saddened by the passing of Serge Lévesque, a PhD student working under Dr. Thomas Graham at the Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility (CESRF). Serge’s passion for research was matched only by his humility and generosity. He contributed to several projects with passion and dedication, and was particularly proud to have developed a registered patent in collaboration with the University of Guelph.| ses.uoguelph.ca

Asim, originally from a small farming family in the remote village of Poragachha in West Bengal, India, developed a deep fascination with soil while working on the farm and witnessing the remarkable transformation of seeds into thriving plants and trees. This curiosity, along with his desire to understand why certain soils yield better plant growth than others, motivated him to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences, specializing in soil science and soil testing.| ses.uoguelph.ca
