Hey everyone, I recently bought an xG3 v1 and I’m trying to decide on the best spot to have it implanted in the hand. From what I know, the v1 is mainly used for sensing, so I’m looking for the most effective or comfortable location ideal for that.| Dangerous Things Forum - Latest posts

When I add my vivokey using the latest applet to my Google account it doesn’t recognize it as a normal fido2 device. From what I understand it is seeing it as a u2f device instead as seen with the “This key can only be used with a password.” Meaning it doesn’t work for passwordless logging only as a 2fa method. Is this a known issue with Google? I’m using Firefox and I have tried via android and windows reads.| Dangerous Things Forum - Latest posts

Hi everyone, I’ve recently been looking into the history of an old Paxton Access key fob I’ve had for years, and it’s turned out to be a bit of a mystery. The fob is a teardrop-shaped proximity fob with a glossy black body and a purple plastic ring around the edge. It has no visible numbers, markings, or logos, and it still functions perfectly on a Paxton system at my workplace. Out of curiosity, I contacted Paxton directly and sent them a photo. Their support team confirmed that: They...| Dangerous Things Forum - Latest posts

To support non-Google browsers, I thought about implementing a QR-generator and BLE adapter into my CTAP-bridge which would intercept the calls to the virtual ““USB authenticator”” and instead reroute it via caBLE, but that is quite a complex implementation even when using the Rust module. And it would still only work on Linux. In addition, I would need to write an Android app which is able to read the QR code and handle the BLE flow, because I don’t use Google Play Services on my p...| Dangerous Things Forum - Latest posts
I’ve been playing around a lot with my apex flex and there is one pain point that I’m unable to figure out but I’ve read on these forums that I shouldn’t be running into this pain point. Any time that I tap the apex flex to my ACR122U for FIDO2 authentication I am unable to tap, release, type the pin, and then tap again. I must hold my hand against the reader the entire time for things to work smoothly. This means I have to awkwardly type in a pin while I keep my clanker hand on the r...| Dangerous Things Forum
Hello. I’m an Apex Ring user living in Korea. I recently received my Apex Ring, albeit late, and I’m looking for a drawer lock that’s compatible with it. I use an IKEA Alex drawer. Does anyone have any good ideas?| Dangerous Things Forum
Wassup folks! I have implanted my FlexSecure and I am awaiting to implant my Apex Flex in the future (but do have both in my possession at the moment). FIDO2 works perfectly on the Apex Flex, due to the secure nature of Fidesmo and FIDO2 being configured by VivoKey. I would like, as close as possible, to make my own certification for FIDO2 and try to make it as official as I can, for a single entity. I’ve started by taking a look at the fantastic GitHub page by DangerousThings called the Fi...| Dangerous Things Forum
So I may have dove into some products before researching everything. I got a Hornady Rapid Safe 4800KP which works great. The crappy thing is that I also want this to work with my building which uses HID readers and expects HID Fobs. I have had success in cloning the HID creds to a T5577 card so I know that works, and I figure I could do the same for the safe which expects EM410x. My vision is that I want my NeXT 2 to work with both use-cases. My doors are the higher priority but I’m having...| Dangerous Things Forum

I hope to get a tooth implant in the near future. I thought 🤔💭 maybe my implant should get an implant as well… Long story short: this topic is about exploring the possibilities of bone conduction through a magnet embedded into a dental crown. Getting the implant is the relatively easy part of the project. Straight forward. The challenge is: getting an amp, getting a loop that will generate the EM field to vibrate the magnet, getting a power source and making it into...| Dangerous Things Forum
Brand new to the biohacking scene, but fascinated by NFC/RFID and want to get my own implant. I’m looking for a professional first but none in Southeast Wisconsin or anywhere near me. I’ve read that I shouldn’t just call around, and I don’t have any friends to do it. Should I be expecting to drive 8-10 hours in order to find someone? Should I try to approach a local place and see if I can find someone willing? I’ve been talking with Hamspiced and Equip for a few days now but wanted ...| Dangerous Things Forum

Hello everyone, this is a safety advisory for the xG3 v1 axially magnetized biomagnet implant. To be clear, this is not a recall, just a conveyance of facts so you can make better informed decisions. We have had our 3rd report in as many years of a failure of an xG3 v1. This report is confirmed and has the same failure mode as the previous two reports, which is that one of the end caps of the xG3 v1 has been cleanly broken off in vivo, exposing the tip of the magnet inside to the body. Becaus...| Dangerous Things Forum
