Since the last Saturday of the month is tomorrow it's just about time for Share 4 Somethings with Jenn. As always we're sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of. | Slices of Life
I put together my own photo challenge for the summer; once again hoping to get myself to use my "real" camera more. But I'd say 99% of these photos were taken with my phone. I did bring the Nikon to Glacier national park with us but could not get it to work despite changing the batteries. I guess it might be time for a replacement. | Slices of Life
It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for What's Up Wednesday. I feel like I have been struggling to play catch up ever since we went on vacation at the beginning of the month. It's been quite busy but I am not complaining. | Slices of Life

We had another lovely weekend. We celebrated Evan's 18th birthday with the grandparents. We had a delicious meal and a great time visiting. My mom and step-father are leaving for North Carolina in just another week or so and I can not believe how fast this summer with them went. On the agenda this week Evan and I want to get his own checking account open and get him registered to vote and all those big adulting tasks. | Slices of Life
Since summer is over it's time to look at how I did with my summer bucket list & share my fall list. It is a link party (the same link will be kept open for a week and you can share how you did with your summer bucket list/goals or the new list and goals you've set for fall or both!). | Slices of Life
Monday morning we woke to a massive thunderstorm with pouring rain. We weren't sure how/if that would effect our plans since it was only 4:30 in the morning. We went back to sleep/laid in bed until nearly 6:30! We made breakfast at the resort and then headed out shortly after 7. | Slices of Life
It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another ageless style challenge. This month Jenn picked Fall colors! In fall I tend to reach fore more neutral colors; tones of brown, orange, green, red. But it has still been rather warm here so I'm trying to sprinkle those colors in using lighter weight fabrics. | Slices of Life
We had timed entry passes into the North Fork section of the park on Sunday Sept. 7th. for 7-9 am. We were up early enough to start in the park and go past Apgar Village. Thank goodness too as even going this way we had nearly an hour on unpaved, bumpy roads. | Slices of Life

Happy Tuesday! We had such a fun weekend. We brought Alec the car since he's interviewing for a few off campus jobs. Then on Sunday we went to dinner with my parents. It was a very family filled weekend. I still felt like I was struggling against my to do list and readjusting to the time change. I don't think the 2 hour time difference was the problem nearly as much as returning home at 1:30 am last Wednesday morning. I've been so tired all week!| Slices of Life
Once we finished our scenic boat tour we headed further down the Going to the Sun Road to park near the Trail of the Cedars/Avalanche Lake trail. | Slices of Life
We packed our lunches and were ready early so we headed out to the national park and arrived just before 7; we actually had a Going to the Sun Road pass included with our scenic boat tour reservation but we didn't need it since we're such early risers. The sunrise was beautiful!| Slices of Life

We left home Tuesday September 3rd early in the morning, at 4 am, to make our 7am flight out of Providence. It was a very uneventful day of flying and we had just enough time on our connecting flight through Chicago to go to the bathroom and grab some nice warm bagels for a late breakfast. | Slices of Life

I'm sorry if I didn't get around to commenting on everyone's links from last week's party. My husband and I spent a week in/around Glacier National park in Montana and most days I was much too tired to blog. I did visit and pin but only got around to commenting on a few. Sorry about that! We had a fabulous time though and am on my way home today. | Slices of Life
This month for Share Our lives we're talking about 5 things we like to do each season. I think this is going to be so hard to narrow down to just 5 things! | Slices of Life
August was a great month! We kept busy and we had some really beautiful weather to enjoy too. Usually August is one of our hottest and muggiest months but this summer was surprisingly cool with fall weather making an early appearance and sticking around. | Slices of Life
It's the first Thursday of the month and time for Share Your Shelf with Marilyn, Jennifer, Tanya, and I. This post and link up are dedicated solely to books and book reviews and it's one I look so forward to each and every month. I am always looking for new and more book ideas. | Slices of Life
It's the first Wednesday of the month and time for the Currently link up with Jenn. This month we're talking about what we're currently loving, beginning, ending, picking, and posting.| Slices of Life

Can you believe it's September? I hope those of you in the states had a lovely Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed a very relaxed weekend mostly at home. I did have to run up and drop a few more things off to Alec so I took my mother in law with me. She's been wanting to see his campus for over a year now. It was fun.| Slices of Life
I've been pretty pleased with myself and how little we've been using Amazon. Since we got rid of Prime in December I am definitely waiting until I have a large enough order to qualify for free shipping and usually only for items I can't find around town. So I've only place one order in July and 2 in August! | Slices of Life
