Happy Friday !!!!I always think that things should slow down about now, but I always forget - Colorado harvest is a little later than where I grew up.... We harvested K's Garden - and Lawsy Mercy - I have diced, and shredded, and canned and ran out of jars, and froze.... and I think we should get thru the next 7 years on this stuff haha!! Saturday Night We were privileged to attend the Northern Colorado Veterans resource Center *Battle Buddies* Gala. It was a great event! I was invited to come to present 3 Quilts of Valor. It was quite the night. We learned all about the resource center. In the course of presenting QOV’s I run into a lot of Veterans who have obstacles that make getting services more difficult. I got the second of the Three Disappearing 4 patch Quilts quilted up!! and off to the pile for the binders!!My dogs were eating dinner, so they couldn't be bothered to pose... but the quilt is just as good - I promise!!The quilting is a meandering star - I really like it, and its fun and fast!! Which is September 20th!!And our QOV Sew day... so!! Each year for that past couple of years we have done some kind of Jelly Roll Quilt. Its fun, its a race, and we really don't care if we finish in a day.... at some time - they all get finished!!This Year - we are doing what I am Calling the Jelly Roll Plus quilt - because! You need 60 strips... so 3 Jelly Rolls will make 2 - 60 x 80 inch| Alycia Quilts - Quiltygirl

I hope you all have a lot of Finishes (or not) to show me, because - I totally Did NOT Finish a thing!! What happened to this week? Where did it go? I had intentions.....I had this top topped - but it needs borders - and so I was going to audition borders, attach them and!!! Quilt it... Remember those two D4P's I got topped? I had the chance to get one quilted!!!Whoot Whoot!!!It was VERY HOT outside - so we only ventured out under the shade of the back patio.... Or at least That's what I think the block is!!My guild made these blocks for our Quilts of Valor group, and two months ago some of the ladies started rowing them..and this month - I took the rows and topped them!and then Bella Modeled them for you - and look Mom!!!
