Context In one of my recent Twitter posts, I got pissy and complained about a vague power-analysis statement I saw while reviewing a manuscript submitted to a scientific journal. If you submit a manuscript for publication that involves HLMs and SEMs of longitudinal data and you vaguely summarize your power analysis in one sentence, I, as your friendly neighborhood Reviewer #2, am requesting a full power-analysis write-up as a supplementary material.
