There are currently 36.2 million small businesses across the U.S. Small enterprises, which are an essential part of the economy, were responsible for creating 1.2 million jobs in the U.S. from March 2023-March 2024. More than 90 percent of all operating businesses worldwide fall into the micro-, small-, or medium-sized category, showcasing how vital these companies are to economic stability and growth.
