this will look like attempted encirclement on the trade war to Xi. and i would not read too much into the "China also wants to make a deal, badly, but they don’t know how to get it started. We are waiting for their call. It will happen!" as somehow a sign trump is desperate/caving. think that would be the wrong interpretation
