Ulysses is a novel by Irish writer James Joyce, first published in book form in 1922. The stylistically dense and exhilarating novel is regarded as a masterpiece and is constructed as a parallel to Homer’s Odyssey. All the action takes place in and around Dublin on a single day (June 16, 1904).
