The AIGA San Francisco chapter had founded the Women in Leadership & Design (WILD) program in 2018. Like many ‘extra-curricular’ activities, it fell dormant during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the leadership of Rachel Gogel, AIGA SF Board Member and WILD Chair, we set out to re-activate WILD in early 2022. After a hard fought battle with Leukemia, Rick Byrne passed away on October 26th at home surrounded by the people who meant the most to him. Rick was currently the Brand Creative Lead at Docsend, Dropbox but previously worked at Oracle, Unity, Iron Creative, Sitecore and CBS Interactive. You could easily run into him at most design events in and around San Francisco and he always made himself accessible to anyone who needed guidance about the profession.| AIGA San Francisco
